If I had lots of money, I could build myself a beautiful home with everything I’ve ever dreamed of, and do it all with eco-friendly, environmentally responsible, and fair trade materials. I could decorate and design without wondering if I was contributing to child labor or wasteful or polluting manufacturing methods….
…but I don’t have lots of money. In fact, I am a soon-to-be-unemployed graduate student, studying to become a medical speech pathologist. My boyfriend and I, and our cat Shep, are renting a modest apartment in the Boston suburb of Melrose.
This blog will document my quest to be as eco-friendly and humanity-friendly as possible, without using a single credit card or driving my boyfriend crazy. Along the way, I may even actually hug some trees.
